Work From WIFI

Whether you are tired of your 9-5 job, tired of commuting or simply looking for a side gig, you might have found yourself typing on your browser’s search – on a Sunday night while having anxiety about the next day – the following question:

How to make money online

Okay, let’s be honest over here, we all have, so you are not alone or crazy or lazy for thinking that way. The truth is that a lot of us live in a money-slaving cycle that our current society forced us to.

First you feel pressured into going to University in order to get a good job, then you are pressured into finding a good job to pay for the student loan to help you get that job, as well as paying for the car you had to buy in order to take you to that job and finally to pay for that beautiful house that you can’t afford and are never in because you spend all your time at your job to afford it. See the problem?

So back to our question. Is it possible to make money/create a business/work from wifi/create income online?

The Answer is YES but it’s not so easy to make significant amounts as some posts suggests across the internet.

So I made a list of ways/businesses ideas/influencer/ambassadorship programs and cash apps that I am going to share with you here:

1. Rewards and Cash Back

This one is one of my favorites because it is effortless. With apps like Ibotta, Drop and Dosh you can make a significant amount of cash back by doing almost nothing.

Ibotta: Cash back platform that partners with countless stores and websites where you can earn cash by simply opening a website through the app or choosing to rebate an offer. If you use services from companies like Uber, Amazon, Groupon, Walmart, Target, DoorDash or eBay you will instantly receive money in the app and when you reach $20 you can sent it to your Venmo or PayPal account. The app also offers extra bonuses according to how many times you use it which makes it a lot faster to build up your wallet. I have made almost $400 by only using the app when I ordered rides, so think about the potential!

You will also get $10 bonus when you use Ibotta for the first time if you click here.

Drop: This app gives you points for every time you use your linked credit card that you can later exchange for gift cards. I remember downloading it and linking my credit card and never opened the app again, until just a couple months later I was organizing my apps and saw that I had enough points to claim a $50 Amazon gift card. Free money right?

Dosh: Similarly to Drop, you will also need to link your credit cards, but this one gives you actual money that you can later transfer to your PayPal, Venmo or Bank account when you reach the minimum of $25 which is pretty easy to reach. The app gives you a $5 for linking your card and you don’t have to do a thing but do your normal shopping.

Tip: Open the Dosh app and look at which stores gives you more cash back and you can go from there. Click here to receive a cash bonus when you use it for the first time.

Attention: With BOTH Dosh and Drop you will need to link your credit cards in order to get benefits from it. While some people may be against sharing financial information, these apps are legit and safe.

Pros:

  • Effortless
  • No investment
  • Easy and practical

Cons:

  • Low payment

2. Ambassadorship Programs:

Companies like HeartBeat and AmbassadHer are a good way to promote products on your social media and get paid for it. With both companies you need to link your social media and create a profile in order to promote your products.

AmbassadHer: You don’t have to pay the app, but if you choose to have an all access membership ($2.99/mo) you will have priority access to all campaigns. You also need to have an Amazon Prime Account, so once you are in, you receive various campaigns opportunities and can apply for all the ones you love and wait to get in. Finally, when you successfully complete a campaign you will be paid for the product you bought and for your promotion post.

Check some opportunities that are active now:

HeartBeat: Things are slightly different, the platform is free, but you will need a referral link to join. Most of the time you won’t need to buy anything and your payment rate will be shown according to the number of followers you have.

Seems very easy, and it is! Although as you may have already figured the payment rate for this type of gig is not very high. However you can easily make some extra cash if you keep applying for campaigns and also Free Products!

Pros:

  • Low or zero investment
  • Low effort
  • Not specific knowledge necessary
  • Guaranteed payment upon completion of each campaign

Cons:

  • Depend on the marketing team to be accepted for each campaign

3. Affiliate Marketing

Websites like Shopify, ShareASale and Amazon Associates offer affiliate programs that can be beneficial for any level of experience in blogging. You will pick products that are relevant to you in order to promote them and once your followers make a purchase using your link you get a commission that can vary according to the website you choose. Some of them would to the tax paperwork for you and others you will just have to do it yourself. It requires a little more effort and a lot of consistency in order to get effective sales and it is a numbers game. The more you promote your product, the higher the possibility of sales.

If you don’t have a blog yet or don’t wish to make one, you can simply use your social media to get in contact with your followers, increase your engagement rate and promote your products. But remember, your followers are not necessarily your customers, so don’t be pushy and focus on getting acquainted with your niche, follow similar accounts, know your target audience and do your homework.

If you are interest in this type of gig here is a list of the most profitable websites for affiliate marketing to work with in 2019:

  1. Amazon Associates
  2. Shopify
  3. eBay Partners
  4. ShareASale
  5. ClickBank
  6. Rakuten Marketing Affiliates

Pros:

  • Diverse selection of products
  • Low or zero investment
  • Back office easy to set up

Cons:

  • Commission based
  • Competition
  • Need to be consistent

3. Free Lance

Whether you are good at document translations, proofreading, are a photographer or a singer, with websites like Fiverr you can sell whatever it is your talent. All you need to do is create a profile and start advertising yourself. This one is not necessarily an online gig as it will depend on what it is that you have to offer. The hard part is that unless you do something really unique there will be someone else that is doing the same job and already has a clientele and lots of reviews. So you will have to be really creative and cheap until you get established.

Pros:

  • Flexibility
  • You charge your price
  • Multiple possibilities of selling your talents

Cons:

  • It takes time to get established
  • Competition
  • Advertising yourself

5. Become a Free Lance Developer

While this option here won’t necessarily be on the category of making money from wifi, it will be the most profitable and the one that requires the highest level of effort and knowledge.

Different than what most people think, no one needs to have a graduation in Computer Science in order to become a developer, of course it will help once you are in the field, but you can start learning how to code online and that will help you get the knowledge you need. Online platforms like edX, Coursera, Coding Dojo Academy and MIT Open Courseware offer low to free cost courses that can put you on the right path.

Pros:

  • Excellent profit
  • High demand
  • High satisfaction

Cons:

  • Months of learning
  • Constant Updates
  • High Expectations

While some of these ideas will give you an option of making some extra money just for fun and be combined with other ideas, some will really show you serious opportunities to create a business of your own and break the pay check-to-pay check cycle.
